'Chico y Rita' gana en los premios Gaudí

- La película de animación de Fernando Trueba y Javier Mariscal se llevó el premio a mejor película de animación en los IV Premis Gaudí.
- La Acadèmia del Cinema Català otorgó a la película el galardón a la Mejor Música Original, compuesta por el cubano Bebo Valdés.
- 'Chico y Rita', ambientada en La Habana de los años 50, está nominada al Oscar a Mejor Película de Animación.
La película de Fernando Trueba y del dibujante y animador Javier Mariscal 'Chico y Rita' prosigue su senda de reconocimientos. En esta ocasión, el galardón proviene de la Acadèmia del Cinema Català que en la última edición de los Premis Gaudi le concedió el premio en la categoría de Mejor Película de Animación.
El largo de animación, que transcurre entre La Habana y Nueva York y narra una historia de amor imposible entre un pianista y una cantante de boleros, se llevó además el premio a Música Original, compuesta por el cubano Bebo Valdés.
La cinta, dirigida a un público adulto, se alista a participar este 26 de febrero en la gala de los premios Oscar, en dónde compite en la categoría de animación con películas como Kung Fu Panda 2 y El Gato con Botas.
El thriller de Jaume Balagueró Mientras Duermes fue la gran triunfadora de los IV Premios Gaudí, entregados anoche y que se llevó 6 de los 15 premios a los que optaba, entre ellos a Mejor Película en Lengua no Catalana y a Mejor Director.
