Olivia Pinheiro, la actual reina de la belleza de Bolivia, renunció a participar en el concurso de Miss Universo 2011 que se realizará en septiembre en Sao Paulo (Brasil).
Y todo por un lío con su edad.
En Bolivia, la prensa lleva varias semanas especulando sobre la verdadera edad de Pinheiro, pues al parecer ella habría alterado el dato para participar en el certamen.
Según la organización de Miss Universo, las aspirantes a la corona de la más bella deben tener mínimo 18 años y máximo 27 años cumplidos hasta el 1 de febrero del año de su participación en el certamen.
Al parecer, la Miss Bolivia se quitó tres meses para poder participar, según informó La Razón.
El pasado jueves, la joven manifestó en un comunicado que renuncia a su participación por “motivos familiares y personales”.
La cruceña mintió sobre su edad, aunque no es claro si ahora o hace once años.
El diario El Deber la entrevistó en 2000, cuando dijo tener 17 años; y el año pasado, ya como Miss Bolivia, dijo tener 24. Dice el periódico que existirían dos certificados de nacimiento, uno que avala que tiene 27 años de edad y otro que la ubica en los 25.
