Esta mañana he encontrado durante mi búsqueda matutina de noticias este vídeo de YouTube en el que se muestra la raqueta de tenis X45. ¿Qué tiene de especial esta raqueta? A simple vista ya se ve: su forma ovalada y su mayor superficie de pegada horizontal.
Según explica su creador, el venezolano Frank Kuncz, se le puede dar hasta un 20% más fuerte porque la zona central (la zona dulce como él la llama) es más amplia y, por tanto, el esfuerzo que se necesita es menor para dar un golpe con la misma fuerza que si se tuviese una raqueta normal.
Kuncz creó esta raqueta hace diez años y desde entonces intenta promocionarla. Ahora tiene su gran oportunidad en el torneo que hay en Miami, explica El Mundo.
Pero independientemente de esta creación, que me encantaría probar para comprobar su eficacia, os quería preguntar: ¿habéis visto alguna vez jugar a alguien al tenis con dos raquetas? No sé si será legal o ilegal el hecho de tener dos raquetas durante el partido, pero el caso es que yo jugué una vez con un contrincante que competía así. Era muy curioso ver cómo si se le quitaba una de las raquetas no jugaba ni la mitad de bien de lo que lo hacía con dos. Y lo más llamativo es que jugaba con dos 'derechas', es decir, si le iba una bola del revés, le daba con la raqueta de la mano izquierda y viceversa.
Insisto en que fue un partido amistoso y que dudo de su legalidad, pero siempre es interesante probar cosas nuevas. Una anécdota más que me sirve para haceros perder el tiempo en un día tan revitalizante y esperanzador como el viernes.
